I’m back. And I’m quilting obsessed!

It’s been years since I posted. In my last post, I mentioned that I was beginning to quilti and taking some quilting basic skills classes.

Since then, the fascination with quilting has grown. I’ve joined two guilds; I’m the treasurer of Jacksonville Modern Quilt Guild (JaxMQG). Joining the guild was the best thing I could do to stretch myself as a quilter. Thanks to the generous spirit of sharing of members I’ve learned a lot. But we also host workshops with paid instructors – some on zoom and some in person. Here’s my first improv quilt which I made after my first workshop at JaxMQG.

The guild usually subsidizes the cost of the workshops. To help offset the cost of our art education workshops, the guild is doing a fundraiser drive. One lucky person who donates to the drive will win a quilt that was collaboratively made by many members of our guild.

You can donate to our fundraiser here. Our guild is a 501(c)(3) charity so donations are tax-deductible.

I’m planning to start sharing more of my quilting explorations as well as some knitting and garment sewing content.

I’ll be honest, I made this post mainly so I can link to it from IG but… I really do want to keep a log of my adventures. I’ll so do a little bit of recapping the last 4 years.
